MATH:

Today for math you are going to be doing your math test for ch. 14. Please remember to show all your work on a SEPARATE sheet of paper. Once you are done with your test I have also included a fun math coloring sheet for you, this is optional, but something fun to do. Take the day off from XtraMath as well!

• The test is all I need back.

READING:

For reading on this fine Tuesday, we are going to be looking again at the craft and structure of pieces of reading/writing. As a reminder, craft and structure are the plots, themes, and setting of the story. Today, you will read the story and answer the questions that go with the craft and structure of the story. The story is Hickory Dickory Dock not Humpty Dumpty...sorry about that mistake! You will also need to do your daily review & read the story, Of Fire and Water on page 478-481 in your reading hardcover book. Once you are done reading, answer the questions on page 119 of your reading workbook. **THERE IS NO VIDEO FOR CRAFT AND STRUCTURE...sorry I accidentally wrote that on the "Days at a Glance".

• Your craft and structure worksheet needs to come back as well as the daily review.

WRITING:

Today for writing, you will need to watch the video on what is Fiction Narrative writing: setting. After watching the video you will need to think about what the setting of your story will be and fill out your setting anchor chart.

SCIENCE:

Today is science day! For science, you will need to watch my video on the soil. As you follow along, you should fill out your notes outline. You also should keep looking over all your 50 states as we will take a test on all 50 states.

Once you have completed all your tasks for the day, take a nice break and listen to a chapter from Red if you wish, remember, you can find this above on the "read aloud" tab. Also, don't forget to do your P.E. and/or Music assignments for the week.

Greetings, 4th Graders & welcome to your second week of distant learning!

This morning, before you begin, you will need to check over the detailed learning page for each subject: Math, Reading, Spelling, & Social Studies to see what needs to be kept at home when you finish and what needs to be sent back. REMINDER: The music and gym sheets stay in your folder until the week is over. You will not return those sheets until next Monday! As always, I will be on my computer all day, so please contact me if you need help...that is what I'm here for. Keep up the hard work!

MATH:

Today for math you are going to be working Chapter 14 review. Throughout math, you will need to do Xtramath (let me know if there is not a way you can do this at home and we can get something figured out), watch the math video, follow along on the videos as I will be going over the problems.

READING:

For reading today we are going to do a little vocabulary, learn a couple of new Greek/Latin roots, prefixes, or suffixes, and do a daily spiral review (just do Mondays today). For the vocabulary words, you are going to have to watch my video to find out the definitions, if not you will have to use a dictionary in your home or go online. Also, remember we are not doing the same words for two weeks any longer we will have new words every week. You need to pick 2 of the vocabulary words to do the sheets on. Hint Hint...watch the video for Greek/Latin roots and get some free answers! :)

• The only things that need to come back to me for reading are the Greek & Latin root word sheet, Monday & Tuesday's spiral review, & your vocabulary sheet.

SPELLING:

Today for spelling, you will need to look over all your spelling words and then sort them into groups. I only need the practice sheet back, I do not want the list of spelling words back again. Please keep that as you will use it more this week to help you study and with the second spelling sheet.

SOCIAL STUDIES:

For Social Studies you need to take the Northeast Region "Test". You also should start to look over all your 50 states as we will take a test on all 50 states.
