Good Morning All! IT IS FRIDAY!
Daily Check-in:
*You can also check-in using google classroom or clicking here.
This morning, before you begin, you will need to check over the detailed learning page for each subject to see what needs to be kept at home when you finish and what needs to be sent back. I will be on my computer all day, so please contact me if you need help...that is what I'm here for. Enjoy your day!
MATH:
** I have mistyped the reteaching for the day on your detailed outline plan...you will need to follow along to 17-6 Mean not "Line Graphs"
Today for math you are going to be working 17-6: Finding Mean. Throughout math, you will need to do Xtramath (let me know if there is not a way you can do this at home and we can get something figured out), watch the 2 math videos, follow along on one of the videos with me going over the reteaching worksheet, and finish off with the practice & daily spiral review sheet. For the practice worksheet, you only need to do the odd numbers for 1-18.
The only things that come back to me are the 17-6 daily spiral review and practice (which should be back to back on one sheet of paper).
17-6 Teaching:
17-6 Reteaching:
READING:
It is Friday, which means testing day. Today, you need to complete Monday's Reading Ready, Grammar Test "Negatives", and Reading Test "A Celebration". Please slow down and take your time on these, go back and look in the story for the answers. Once you are done take some time to read your book.
All the tests need to come back to me as well as the Daily Reading Ready for "Monday"
SPELLING:
Since this week was a short week there were no spelling words. However, today you need to make your own words. To do this you need to find the "Make Words" activity in your packet. You will need to cut out the letters on the bottom of the page and try and make 3,4,5,&6+ lettered words. Once you get a word write it in the correct column. Try and get as many points as you can. High point achievers will receive a treat! Good Luck!
SOCIAL STUDIES:
Today you will be finishing up your map skills. Since we did not have social studies on Monday we have moved it to today. You will need to find the BIG Westward expansion map in your packet and the 2 pages of cut out cards to go with the map. Your job is to cut out the squares of events and put the cutouts in order by date and glue them on the timeline in the correct order. Remember, timelines go by date order the furthest date away goes on the very left while working your way to the right.
Your Westward expansion timeline needs to come back to me.
FOR ALL MY ART LOVERS:
Every Friday Dave Pilkey (the illustrator of Dog Man & Captain Underpants books) is doing videos on how to draw different book characters, sneak peeks from books and creative activities. Check it out!
Congratulations, 4th graders! You have made it through another week of distance learning. You have accomplished so much in one week. Now take some time over the weekend to rest and relax. Remember, keep helping around the house too.
