Good Morning, 4th Graders. I hope you had a wonderful evening yesterday.

Check-in for the day here:

*You can also check-in by going to your google classroom or clicking this link.

Oh my goodness, 4th graders! Your thank-you notes were absolutely amazing. I have sent them off this morning. Give yourselves a pat on the back because they were so well written and I could tell you really put great thought into them...JOB WELL DONE!

Please look over all your work for today and let me know if you have any questions. Remember, I am here all day for you so let me know if you need anything...seriously! Have a wonderful day!

MATH:

Mrs. Baumann is now doing all the math. If you have any questions please contact her through Google Hangouts or email. (leah.baumann@isd505.org)

READING:

For reading today you need to complete the "Daily Reading Ready" Week 3 Tuesday - the stories are on the back of the paper. Secondly, you will need to complete the "Get Busy Baking" paper. This paper is all about sequencing...so you will need to read the story and then put the recipe and story in order of events that happened. That is all you need to do for reading today! Don't forget to keep reading books at home...that is the most important thing you can do!

Materials that need to be sent back:

  • "Daily Reading Ready" Monday Week 3

  • "Get Busy Baking" worksheet

WRITING:

It is Tuesday, and that means writing day...the end is in sight for our fictional writings and I cannot wait to see what stories you have have been creating over the last few weeks. Today you will need to rehearse your fictional writing story to someone in your house. Please watch the video below for more information.

What needs to come back:

  • NOTHING!

Writing Video:

SCIENCE:

Now that Mrs. Baumann is doing Social Studies we will be doing science on Mondays & Tuesdays and then social studies on Wednesdays and Thursdays. On Fridays, we are going to be doing something a little different and fun...stayed tuned.

So, today for science we are continuing on with fossils. You need to find the "fossilization" sheets in your packet, there should be two of them. You will need to cut out the different "rocks" and then paste them onto the other sheet with the numbers on it. You will glue the rocks in the squares in the correct order that fossilization happens. You can take a look back at the presentation to see the order of fossilization in the link below.

LINKS TO THE STEPS OF FOSSILIZATION:

What needs to come back:

  • Fossilization Cut and Paste activity

Don't forget you will still need to do your math. Then you are done for the day...yay! Good work! If you would like to, go and listen to our read-aloud book to finish off the day. Also, don't forget to do your music and gym sheets as well for the week.

WAHOO! You are done for the day.
