Thursday, April 2nd (Day 4)

Good Morning, 4th Graders - We are almost done with week one! Keep up the hard work!

Check-in for the day here:

*You can also check-in by google classroom or by clicking on the link.

This morning, before you begin, you will need to check over the detailed learning page for each subject to see what needs to be kept at home when you finish and what needs to be sent back. Hopefully, now you have come up with a system that works for you. Whatever system you use, make sure it works well for you. I will be on my computer all day, so please contact me if you need help...that is what I'm here for. Enjoy your day!

MATH:

Today for math you are going to be working 14-7: Same Perimeter/Different Area. Throughout math, you will need to do Xtramath (let me know if there is not a way you can do this at home and we can get something figured out), watch the 2 math videos, follow along on one of the videos with me going over the reteaching worksheet, and finish off with the practice & daily spiral review sheet.

  • The only things that come back to me are the 14-7 daily spiral review and practice (which should be back to back on one sheet of paper). Please remember to show all of your work.

READING:

It is GRAMMAR DAY in reading today. We will be looking at adverbs as well as the use of well vs. good. Please watch the videos below to help you understand what to do.

  • The only thing that needs to come back to me for reading on Thursday is the grammar practice page.

  • ps: You should keep reading and taking tests. The student with the most points at the end of the quarter gets a prize!

WRITING:

For writing today, you need to watch the writing video and put together your characters of the story on your anchor chart.

  • What needs to come back: Character Anchor Chart

SOCIAL STUDIES/SCIENCE:

Today for science you need to use what you learned from reading through your science book on Tuesday to help you fill out SOME of the rock booklets. You do not need to complete the full booklet. Keep the booklet in a safe spot as we will finish it next week.

  • Nothing needs to come back to me from science today.

**I noticed some of you turned in your NE booklet but needed it to take your test yesterday. Here is a link to the booklet of the NE Region if you need it. https://drive.google.com/file/d/1-Gu7Qn5hqxD9CX_gAHhFhtxOZjQG3YJQ/view?usp=sharing

Once you have completed all your tasks for the day, take a nice break and listen to a chapter from Red if you wish, remember, you can find this above on the "read aloud" tab. Also, don't forget to do your P.E. and/or Music assignments for the week.

That is all for the day. Hopefully, you can get outside now and play for a while!

Miss you lots,

Mrs. Brake
